My name is Noah Jennings and I grew up in Ottawa and spent many summers working at the OSA Byward as a technician in the children’s department. In 2019, I enrolled at uOttawa to pursue a Bachelors of Science, however also at this time I began taking general interest courses at the OSA. In the mess that was 2020, I had the realization that fine arts was something I was intensely passionate about, and took a (permanent) break from science to build a fine arts portfolio. In 2021, I moved to Halifax to attend the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University, with a focus on Drawing and Painting. I spent my time at NSCAD practically living in the studio, and became completely enamoured with painting. During my summers in Nova Scotia I worked as a team member for the Art Bikers, a mobile arts program that delivers free weekly art activities to communities around Halifax. In 2024, I was selected to participate in NSCAD’s Creative Social Ethics program, and spent a semester abroad in Cape Town working as a TA at Michaelis School of Fine Arts. Since graduating from NSCAD in December 2024, I have moved home and returned to the OSA as an instructor where I specialize in teaching beginner observational painting and drawing. I am presently working on a new series of large-scale, highly detailed, process based abstract paintings out of his church basement studio in Old Ottawa South. I have also recently been enjoying plein air landscape painting.
Most works on my web page are for sale and if you should be interested, please do not hesitate to reach out via email.
